Divorce Education

Who: Headway’s high quality Divorce Education seminars and series are specially designed to help couples and families create a functional divorce or separation that minimizes the impact on children. While our classes satisfy Minnesota State law requirements for parents in a contested divorce*, all divorcing or separating parents may attend one or more of our sessions.

What: Our Divorce Education classes are designed to be taken early in the court process so you will have the necessary skills and knowledge as you go. Our highly professional Divorce Education team offers many format options, times and locations for your convenience. We provide useful tools and information in a concise, understandable and user-friendly way, continually refining our delivery for the best possible experience.

Classes include:

  • Co-Parenting This one-time educational seminar helps parents create a functional divorce or separation, providing them with the tools to help family members move toward healing. Richfield, Golden Valley, Shoreview, Brooklyn Park, and Inver Grove Heights locations. For more information and/or to register, click here.
  • Co-Parenting Plus This five-session series provides in-depth skill-building for separating or divorcing parents to maintain a functional business relationship for the sake of their child(ren). Richfield location. For more information and/or to register, click here.
  • Legal and Economic Aspects of Divorce (LEAD) This one-time educational seminar teaches couples how to navigate the legal and economic issues they face during divorce or separation. Richfield and Monticello locations. For more information and/or to register, click here.

How: To register or learn more about each class, click the one you are interested in above.

* Parents in a contested divorce are required to attend eight hours of parenting education. Please check with the court on the specific class requirements for your case. Upon completion of the class(es) you will receive a Certificate of Completion to prove attendance to the court.
