Emma joined Headway in August, 2016 and has worked in the human services field since 2011. She has previous experience working with children, adolescents, and their families in multiple different education venues including The Annica Program, the Minnesota Autism Center and the Anova Center for Education. As a school-based therapist, she will collaborate with families and school administration to provide a supportive and nurturing environment for her clients to learn, heal, and grow. “I believe that a compassionate therapeutic relationship is the foundation of successful mental health interventions and that children thrive when offered genuine trust and the opportunity to explore their identities within the world,” she says.

When she is not at work, Emma loves to kayak and bike when she is outside, and cook and bake when she is inside. She also dances with the St. Paul Czech and Slovak Folk Dancers and also likes to relax at the North Shore and share laughter-filled meals with her family and friends.
