“I have been living with mental illnesses since I was 13... hospitalized more than 10 times since I was 19. After being in therapy for the last six months, I feel more stable than I have in my whole life... I love what they have done for me.”

Heidi has been with Headway since November, 2018 and has worked in human services and as a preschool/school-aged teacher. As a case manager, she connects with her clients and gets to know each child for their unique self. She believes each child has their own potential for a healthy and positive life and deserves to be treated like and individual. She enjoys watching her clients progress and grow within the case management program. "I am a positive influence on the lives of the children and families with whom I work by being non-judgmental, a listening ear, and providing unconditional support," she says. "Showing clients that they are cared for can make a world of difference in their lives and in the care they receive. My clients always know how much they matter."

When she is not working, Heidi likes to travel. She studied abroad and has been to several countries, and wants to see many more! She likes spending time with her family and her dog, going camping, watching movies, and reading/studying.
