Testimonials

"My staff (at Sioux Trail Elementary) have been sharing about Headway's training sessions. Teachers come back from the trainings excited to try new strategies and they have new understanding regarding mental health issues. This is making a difference in their classrooms and helping them relate to students when they are struggling."

-Shannon McParland, Principal, Sioux Trail Elementary

Jonah joined Headway in May, 2017 and has worked in the human services field since 2016.  He has previous experience working with students at a charter school in St. Paul and also working with the college-aged LGBTQ population and the intersecting populations of religious LGBTQ people.  He is excited to work with the Latino/Spanish speaking population and help children and families make connections to needed resources in the community.  "I hope to form relationships with the clients that I serve in order to help both the children and their families be the best possible version of themselves that they can be so that they can be empowered to succeed in every area of their lives," he says.

In Jonah's spare time, he enjoys doing many things including exploring Minnesota searching for new coffee shops to try, writing in his blog or working on his YA novel.  He also enjoys playing piano, practicing photography, and traveling.
