"My staff (at Sioux Trail Elementary) have been sharing about Headway's training sessions. Teachers come back from the trainings excited to try new strategies and they have new understanding regarding mental health issues. This is making a difference in their classrooms and helping them relate to students when they are struggling."

Lyndsie has worked in the human services field since 2008 and joined Headway in January, 2018.  She works with children and families in the Vision Early Childhood Special Education Program at Pond Family Center.  She utilizes the experiential modality of play therapy with children to offer them a way to communicate about their internal world.  She enjoys working with children and families and believes that it is important to work with the family system as a whole in order for everyone to function better.  "I am passionate about exploring creative and experiential means to bring about emotional healing for children, adolescents, and families," she says.  "I am interested in opening space for other types of self expression to facilitate healing such as drawing, painting, play, and sand tray therapy."

When Lyndsie is not at work, she enjoys many outdoor activities like cross-country skiing, biking, camping and hiking on the Superior Hiking Trail, running, and swimming.  She also likes to cook ad spend time with her family and friends.
