A Little About Charlie’s Role

Charlie has been in the addiction/mental health field for more than 35 years and with Headway since 2000. He provides mental health services both at our Golden Valley outpatient clinic at Mission Lodge.  He works with all populations we serve: children ages 11-18, families, couples and adults, but his specialties include helping those suffering from addiction, sexual abuse, and domestic violence. He has joined our Dialectical Behavioral Therapy team (DBT) and uses cognitive behavioral therapy and hypnosis as well. His goal is to help clients and colleagues bring their assets to every situation they encounter. “Families and individuals who can communicate effectively and master their emotions and thoughts can bring hope and healing to any circumstance,” he says.

Charlie is married and enjoys bird watching, tennis and volunteering in the community to help people affected by substance abuse.
