Gina Carveth, BS - Intern Therapist
A Little About Gina’s Role
Gina joined Headway in August, 2020 and has worked in the human services field since 2017. She is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work degree at the University of Minnesota. She has previous experience working in a group home, a school district, and another adolescent day treatment program. She enjoys working alongside and collaborating with experienced clinicians, helping young people gain valuable skills to overcome barriers to success and self-regulate, and building rapport and reparative working relationships with kids who need it. She says, “ I bring a huge well of compassion, patience, and genuine interest to my work with young people. I am passionate about helping kids find their unique form of resilience, and acting as a mirror to reflect that strength back to them when it feels hard to see.”
When she is not working, Gina likes hiking, biking, traveling, and exploring new places, especially the outdoors. She enjoys spending quality time with loved ones, and is hoping to take some dance classes this year.
