Kevin Stringer, BA - Diversion Case Manager

Brooklyn Center

A Little About Kevin’s Role

Kevin joined Headway in August, 2020, and has worked in human services for over 25 years.  He has previous experience as a police officer, and director with Boys and Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities and as assistant director and dean of students at various charter schools within the Twin Cities area.  He has worked with all ages, races, genders, and economic statuses, and specializes in law enforcement and juvenile justice.  As a diversion case manager, he helps youth who are first-time, non-violent offenders to navigate the juvenile justice system.  He works with his clients and their families providing support, guidance, and programming to help prevent youth from re-offending and staying on a better path.  “I try to learn what the issues are in a respectful and encouraging manner,” he says.  “I do my best to provide the tools necessary for youth and their families to achieve their goals in life.”

When he is not working, Kevin loves to travel, and enjoys all sporting activities.  He likes to fish, snowboard, and ride his motorcycle whenever possible.  He is an avid fan of all Minnesota sports teams and tries to attend at least one game each season.
