Kristy Collier, MA - Therapist
A Little About Kristy’s Role
Kristy joined Headway is September 2015 and has worked in the human services field for more than 10 years. She is currently attending Walden University and is working toward earning her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. She completed her therapy internship at Headway’s Day Treatment program and is also currently working for the West Metro Regional Navigator for Hennepin, Scott and Carver County under the Safe Harbor Law in Minnesota, working with minors that have been sex trafficked. She has previously worked with a variety of different populations, from infants to parenting teens, as is excited to be at Headway and the “opportunity it provides to see how students function in multiple settings,” she says.
When she is not working, Kristy enjoys baking and her very part-time work as a guest speaker. She speaks about her experience raising a child living with a mental illness and she talks with parents that are still learning to navigate the world of children’s mental health and offers ways to make “sense” of such a complicated world.Back to all team members
