A Little About Michelle’s Role

Michelle joined the Youable Emotional Health team in June 2016 and has worked in the human services field for more than 19 years. Prior to joining Youable’s school-based team, she worked at a Residential Treatment program for adolescents, a Day Treatment program, and most recently provided school-linked therapeutic services during the 2015-2016 school year. She is also trained in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavior Therapy. She works primarily with adolescents, engaging clients in recognizing and coping with their emotions, as well as any related thinking and behavioral patterns. “I believe in the inner strength and potential of all people. Throughout everyone’s life there are times when obstacles arise, and it is difficult to believe in your own potential or you just feel ‘stuck.’ I believe that my role as a therapist is to provide support for these demands of life,” she says.

When she is not working, Michelle enjoys being outdoors, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
