A Little About Nick’s Role

Nick joined Headway in November 2019 and has worked in human services since 2010. He has worked with children, teens, and families, and has prior experience as an adoption recruiter, and at a children’s residential treatment center, and has competencies in dialectical behavior therapy, foster care, and adoption. As a school-based therapist, he is excited to be part of a high school team to assist and meet the mental health needs of students. Additionally, he helps the school in understanding and increasing awareness of mental health and effective approaches. “I bring a positive and hopeful attitude to my role and the people around me,” he says. “I plan to be as collaborative and supportive to staff at school to meet the needs of students and assist families in helping youth with their mental health.”

When he is not working, Nick enjoys cooking, going for runs, hiking, and camping during the warmer months. He also enjoys watching and cheering on Minnesota sports teams.
