Teri has been with Headway since August, 2018 and has worked in human services for over 22 years. She has past experience as a day treatment therapist, in-home skills worker, individual therapist and psychometrist, community mental health therapist intern, and worked in adolescent residential services. She has specialties in cognitive behavioral therapy and trauma-focused approaches to therapy and has worked with clients of all ages, including children and adolescents who qualify as having mental health diagnoses, children diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum, adult women victims of physical, mental, and sexual abuse, and families in conflict or crisis. As Supervisor, Co-Located Programs, she supervises clinicians and teams in programs located around the Twin Cities who serve a variety of populations. She brings an understanding of the unique challenges of building a team as well as experience bridging relationships between different systems to assist in providing the best collaborative care possible for individuals participating in receiving the services.

In her spare time, Teri enjoys being outdoors, walking her dog, hiking, boating, camping and kayaking, practicing yoga, and meditation.

Callie joined Headway in August, 2017 and has worked in the human services field since 2013. She has previous experience working with children, adolescents, and families and also specializes in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She is excited to be working with children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade, teaching foundational coping skills and helping them with behavior management. “I enjoy the energy that young children bring with them and their curiosity,” she says.

Outside of work, Callie enjoys outdoor activities, such as running, biking, walking, and swimming. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and reading books.

Corinne has been with Headway since September, 2018 and has worked in the human services field since 2008. She has past experience working within the education system. As a therapist within our Vision program, she works with clients of all ages, from preschool to adulthood. She also supports the parents and family systems of her clients, supporting healthy families, solid parenting, and happy children. She works with her clients to help them feel safe and loved in their school setting, supports clients through talk therapy, and helps them to overcome past experiences in order to develop the kind of life that will make them happiest. "I believe when a human being is heard and supported at their core, the person is then allowed to develop into the life and experience which most calls to them," she says. "By creating a safe space with unconditional acceptance, I help my clients transform their own lives and their own communities."

Corinne has her own children, family, and pets whom she adores and with whom she spends most of her time outside of work. She is also fond of exploring new paths in the woods, loves knitting, and refuels herself through self-reflection in beautiful spaces.

Ingrid joined Headway in August, 2017 and has worked in the human services field since 2014. She has previous experience working with at-risk and EBD youth from age four to age 17, and also has worked with children in treatment foster care. She is very excited to be working at a middle school combining her passion for working with EBD youth and working at a school. “I believe that education is very important and I look forward to being able to help create a safe and welcoming environment that my clients are not only able to learn in, but also thrive in,” she says.

In her free time, Ingrid really loves to be in social situations, whether that is having a board game night with friends or grilling out with family and friends. She also enjoys being outdoors, attending concerts, participating in trivia nights, and supporting her friends who are in the arts.

Lyndsie has worked in the human services field since 2008 and joined Headway in January, 2018.  She works with children and families in the Vision Early Childhood Special Education Program at Pond Family Center.  She utilizes the experiential modality of play therapy with children to offer them a way to communicate about their internal world.  She enjoys working with children and families and believes that it is important to work with the family system as a whole in order for everyone to function better.  "I am passionate about exploring creative and experiential means to bring about emotional healing for children, adolescents, and families," she says.  "I am interested in opening space for other types of self expression to facilitate healing such as drawing, painting, play, and sand tray therapy."

When Lyndsie is not at work, she enjoys many outdoor activities like cross-country skiing, biking, camping and hiking on the Superior Hiking Trail, running, and swimming.  She also likes to cook ad spend time with her family and friends.

Naava has been with Headway since September, 2018 and has worked in the human services field since 2016. She has past experience working as a teacher's assistant, as a school social worker, and as a school-based therapist. She has experience utilizing non-directive/directive play therapy techniques, meditation, mindfulness, guided imagery, and yoga practices, and focuses on using trauma-informed care in her practice. As a therapist within our Vision program, she works with children and their families within a school setting providing individual and family therapy services. She also assists in helping her clients to regulate themselves in a classroom setting. "I hope to assist in strengthening and transforming lives by helping clients to feel understood, while empowering them to develop skills to change their lives," she says.

Outside of work, Naava likes to spend time in nature, read, and go to events and festivals.

Nick joined Headway in August, 2017 and has worked in the human services field since 2002. Prior to joining the Vision team at Headway, he worked in the Bloomington Public Schools as a behavior intervention specialist in an elementary school and has also been a teacher in a third grade classroom and a fourth grade classroom, as well as serving as an elementary school counselor. He is excited to work with a small group of students and their families—seeing their growth as he works alongside them to foster their skills to help them throughout their daily challenges and joys. “There is nothing better for me than seeing children learn, grow, and be successful in their lives,” he says.

When Nick is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, his family, and his friends. He also likes to watch the Cubs play baseball, travel, and experience new things through people, food, and culture.

Nicole has been with Headway since September, 2018 and has worked in human services since 2016. As a Vision Skills Worker, she works with children in a classroom setting teaching them new skills to use every day teaching them how to be successful in class as well as how to be a good friend to others. She believes that collaboration and communication is very important to be successful and to strengthen communities and relationships.

Health and fitness is very important to Nicole. When she is not at work, she loves to dance and is part of an adult dance team. She is also on a bowling league.

Tristann has been with Headway since March, 2018 and has worked in human services since 2012.  She has worked with children, adolescents, young adults, and families, and is excited about building strong therapeutic relationships with students and families to support them in identifying their strengths.  She provides group and individual psychotherapy, leads skills-based groups for high school students, and works with her clients' family systems in order to assist them in being successful in school, at home, and in their future.  "I hope to provide a safe, judgment-free space to meet the unique needs of each student in order to assist them in strengthening their self-esteem and identity", she says.

In her spare time, Tristann enjoys reading, spending time outside, yoga, hiking, and spending time with family.

Wendy has been with Headway since September, 2018 and has worked in the human services field since 2012. She has past experience working in a hospital setting in inpatient mental health, with adolescents in a residential mental health treatment program, and with children in an autism day treatment program. As a therapist within the Vision program, she works with children and their families to help them learn and grow through their struggles. "I provide support for my clients and their families as we work together to help them learn and persevere," she says. "I also work to build and strengthen relationships between myself, teachers, and staff as we work as a team to help our students."

Outside of work, Wendy enjoys going for walks around the lakes, hiking, biking, kayaking, and simply being outside. She also enjoys coloring, cooking, baking, crocheting, gardening, spending time with friends and family, playing games, and watching movies. She also volunteers at her church in its pre-K Sunday School classroom.
